ON Purpose

BEcoming Me

I learned the lessons of purpose as I was laid off three times after rising to the top of my career in social work.  I kept fighting the flow and became frustrated and agitated, feeling betrayed and depressed, until I realized that although I enjoy helping people it didn’t mean I could only help people as a Social Worker.  So I answered the call to redesign my life as an entrepreneur and learned about small business ownership. As a result, I have helped many women start their own businesses and I provide coaching and spiritual support to many female executives.  My income is much more than it would have been as a Social Worker and I don’t carry the stress that comes with that career. Best of all I don’t have to worry about being laid off or fired or starting all over again.  I love my life and everyday I am teaching others to do the same.

So tell me what did it take for you to find your purpose and be totally free with being on purpose?

You can have a life that you love!

I have been hosting a radio show now for three-weeks and the topic is, “You can have a life that you love.”  I thought it was an important topic because the people I coach and provide support to have something in common, they don’t believe that they can have “their cake and eat it too!”  I guess it stems from so many notions that we are mentally programmed to believe.  For example, “when I take one step forward I fall three spaces backward”. “I better enjoy this because I know this won’t last forever.”  How about this one, “nothing like this ever happens to me.”  I think it is so amazing that we are willing to accept mediocre living and complacency vs dreaming big and excepting nothing but the big and the best.  Some would say, “you are setting yourself up for failure”, but I say, “you are setting yourself up for great success.”   You just have to mind what you are focusing on. After all, you can have a life that you love by believing in what’s possible and the power of you!”

Do I have anyone who wants to live a life that they can love with me?
