So You Got Stress? Take A-Bath!

“Every situation properly perceived becomes an opportunity” – Helen Schucman

Opportunities to redefine and redesign our lives speak to us through stress. Stress is a near cousin to depression which both can often be a body alarm that denotes the mind, body and spirit are out of sync. Which further indicates that somehow our morals, boundaries, desires, and self-worth are being overlooked or diminished. Thus leaving the feeling of being overwhelmed and an outward manifestation of things around us spinning out of control. The remedy to gaining the In-powerment needed to redefine and redesign those moments can come from taking a bath!

Living in a fast pace environment taking quick showers keeps us reaffirming the notion that there is a lack of time, I need to hurry and I am already late, I don’t have time to relax.  But if we can demonstrate more self-appreciation we could re-write the mental script as we take more baths.   A-Bath can reinforce slow down, get connected, be completely renewed and most of all self -care first.

Taking A-Bath is both spiritual and physical as it refreshes and cleanse our souls as well as our bodies.  To alleviate energy drainers and self-esteem killers such as stress we have to do more of what keeps us happy and whole vs. what keeps us repeating the same nasty habits that are attracting more of what we don’t want.

So you got stress?  Take A-Bath and here are my personal directives on how to take A-Bath…

1. Take the time at the end of your day to light some scented candles (represents the soul).
2. Play some meditative music (represents creativity and joy).
3.  Fill the tub with bubbly hot as you can take it water (represents cleansing the spirit).
4.  Close your eyes and relax  (represents clearing and meditating).
5.  Complete your spiritual intimacy exercise on A-Bath:

A= Analyze what really matters to you.

B= Build belief in what’s possible.

A= Align with your desires and convictions.

T= Treat yourself great by eliminating one thing in your life adding to your stress.

H= Honor your day and your commitment to having a life that you can love by adding something to your life that makes you feel great.

What does taking A-Bath mean to  you and how do you get rid of your stress?

You can have a life that you love!

I have been hosting a radio show now for three-weeks and the topic is, “You can have a life that you love.”  I thought it was an important topic because the people I coach and provide support to have something in common, they don’t believe that they can have “their cake and eat it too!”  I guess it stems from so many notions that we are mentally programmed to believe.  For example, “when I take one step forward I fall three spaces backward”. “I better enjoy this because I know this won’t last forever.”  How about this one, “nothing like this ever happens to me.”  I think it is so amazing that we are willing to accept mediocre living and complacency vs dreaming big and excepting nothing but the big and the best.  Some would say, “you are setting yourself up for failure”, but I say, “you are setting yourself up for great success.”   You just have to mind what you are focusing on. After all, you can have a life that you love by believing in what’s possible and the power of you!”

Do I have anyone who wants to live a life that they can love with me?
